Terms of Service
Last updated 16 July 2026
The short version. Buy the app, use it however you like. It is a place to write down your subscriptions and do the maths. It is not financial advice and it cannot see your bank, so check anything that matters against your actual statement.
Who you are agreeing with
Recurly is made and operated by Kode Foundry. Using the app means you accept these terms. If you do not, delete the app.
What you get
A one time purchase through the App Store gives you a personal, non transferable licence to use Recurly on the devices tied to your Apple ID, for as long as Apple's terms allow. There is no subscription, no tier that expires and no feature that switches off later.
What Recurly is not
Recurly is a record keeping tool. It is not financial, tax or legal advice, and it is not a budgeting service, a bank or a payment provider.
Every figure the app shows is calculated from what you typed in. If you enter the wrong cost or the wrong date, the total will be wrong, and Recurly has no way to know. Recurly cannot read your bank account, so it cannot find subscriptions you did not add and cannot confirm a charge really happened.
Do not rely on Recurly alone to decide whether you can afford something. Your bank statement is the truth. Recurly is a convenient summary of what you told it.
Reminders
Charge reminders and trial alerts are scheduled through iOS notifications. They usually arrive and sometimes do not: notification permission gets denied, iOS limits how many alerts an app may queue, phones run out of battery, and dates get entered wrong. Treat reminders as a helpful nudge, not a guarantee. Missing one does not make us responsible for a charge you did not want.
Your account and your data
You are responsible for keeping your sign in details safe. The privacy policy covers what is stored and where.
You can delete all of your data, or your whole account, from Settings at any time. Both are immediate and permanent. Export first if you might want it back.
Fair use
Do not:
- Reverse engineer, decompile or resell the app.
- Use it to store anything unlawful.
- Attempt to reach another user's data, or to disrupt the service for anyone else.
Availability
Sync depends on Google Firebase, which we do not operate. It may be unavailable. The app is built to keep working offline, so an outage should mean sync pauses rather than the app stopping, but we cannot promise uninterrupted service.
Liability
Recurly is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, Kode Foundry is not liable for financial loss arising from a missed reminder, a wrong figure, lost data or unavailable sync. Our total liability is limited to what you paid for the app.
Nothing here removes rights you have under consumer law, including any statutory rights that cannot be excluded.
Refunds
Purchases go through the App Store, so refunds are handled by Apple under their policy. We cannot issue one directly. Ask Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Changes
We may update these terms. If a change matters, the date at the top changes and we will say what moved. Continuing to use the app means you accept the new version.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where Kode Foundry is established, without affecting mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
